Red Cliffs Secondary College offers 6 years of secondary education, from year 7 through to year 12. Senior students can study VCE, VET and VCAL certificates.
We are the only 7-12 government secondary school in the Mildura district.
Across our schools we have a class average of 22 students per class.
Years 7 to 9
Homework tasks at these year levels may include daily independent reading, extended classwork, projects, essays, exercises and research. Generally, students will be expected to spend between 45 to 90 minutes per day on homework tasks. Some tasks may be assigned to be completed during weekends and on the school holidays.
Years 10 to 12
Generally, students can expect homework tasks in these year levels to increase to reflect the expected level of independence and initiative of students. At Year 11 and Year 12, students are expected to spend an increased amount of time completing homework tasks in preparation for VCE and VCAL. Students can expect to spend between 1 to 3 hours of homework per weeknight, and further study on weekends during assessment periods.
We have a six lesson day. Each lesson is 47 minutes in length. The bell times are:

We have a full time wellbeing co-ordinator, who is a fully qualified social worker. A Chaplain is at school 3 ½ days per week and a health nurse 2 days per week. On Thursdays we have a GP and nurse on site, as part of the Doctors in Secondary Schools Program.
As well as this, we have a Year Level Co-ordinator at each year level, a Junior School Leader (year 7-9) and Senior School Leader(year 10-12) overseeing the Sub Schools, Assistant Principal and Principal.

Interim progress reports are completed every six weeks, with semester reports completed at the end of terms 2 and 4. Parent Teacher Interviews occur each term.
